 River on the Rise:
The Science of Watersheds
In this module students learn about the ecology of watersheds through a case study of the Bronx River Watershed. This module guides students through the many components that make up a watershed while they research a chosen aspect of their own watershed. Students answer questions relating to amphibian habitats, fish health and water quality, sources of runoff in a watershed, and automotive pollution, all through fun interactive activities. They then proceed to study one of these aspects in the watershed where they live.
